KinTether App on Garmin

The Edge (Garmin Watch)

Captures high-precision biometrics (Heart Rate) and system status (Battery). It securely handshakes with the smartphone via Bluetooth.

The Gateway (Smartphone)

Serves as a secure bridge. It provides precise GPS coordinates and routes data packets via LTE or Wi-Fi.

The Nexus (Secure Cloud Server)

A high-performance backend that monitors every "ping" in real-time, evaluating safety triggers instantly.

The End-point (Telegram API)

Alerts are dispatched directly to your private family group, ensuring you are notified on any device you own.

02 The "Connection Guard" Protocol

Most safety apps are reactive. KinTether is proactive.

Continuous Heartbeat The watch maintains a constant "heartbeat" sync with our server.
120-Second Fail-Safe Our server independently monitors this heartbeat. If the signal is lost for more than 120 seconds (due to a dead battery or lost phone connection), the server automatically triggers a "Connection Lost" alert.
Physical Response The system is designed to respond to physical watch button presses, ensuring it works even when touchscreens are unresponsive.

03 Privacy & Bank-Grade Security

Every data packet sent within the KinTether ecosystem is protected by HTTPS/TLS encryption. Your biometric data and location are never exposed in plain text.

We follow a Zero-Retention policy: we do not store historical location logs. We only process what is necessary to keep your loved one safe in the moment.

Private Channels: Your data stays within your family. Alerts are sent exclusively to the Telegram group you created and control.

04 Independence & Transparency

KinTether is a social project built on the principles of trust and autonomy.

Corporate Independence: By using the Sideload installation method, KinTether remains independent of major app store restrictions and corporate data-sharing policies.
